Seven community groups are sharing in a $100,000 donation from the Telus Victoria Community Board. They are the Victoria Brain Injury Society, Crisis Intervention and Public Information Society, Canadian College of Performing Arts, 676 Kit-tyhawk Sponsoring Committee, South Island Dispute Resolution Centre Society, Threshold Housing Society and Victoria Youth Empowerment Society. Cheques will be distributed at the Telus Celebration of Giving on Nov. 8 as part of National Philanthropy Week.
