On the Street: Royal Oak optometrist leads B.C. association

Dr. Gurpreet Leekha has been elected president of the B.C. Doctors of Optometry Association. Leekha owns Royal Oak Optometry with his wife, Zareen Charania, and is an associate at Central Saanich Optometry with owner Dr. Paul Neumann.

Dr. Gurpreet Leekha has been elected president of the B.C. Doctors of Optometry Association. Leekha owns Royal Oak Optometry with his wife, Zareen Charania, and is an associate at Central Saanich Optometry with owner Dr. Paul Neumann. Leekha also owns Millstream Village Optometry, located inside Eye Etiquette Optical Boutique in Langford. His practices offer a full scope of services including Ortho-k and Vision Therapy. He also offers eye examinations in English, Punjabi and Spanish at all locations. Leekha is a member of the Canadian Association of Optometrists and has worked with Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity on missions to Mexico and Chile.

She will oversee digital marketing programs at both Mayfair and Woodgrove Centre in Nanaimo ... Ian Lorimer is the new vice-president of finance and chief financial officer for FortisBC.

Stan Marcus, a 20 year veteran of chiropractic care in Victoria, is opening a new clinic, SpineCare Chiropractic, in Brentwood Bay at 7931 West Saanich Rd. ... Stephanie Louie is opening her Mind Body Spine chiropractic clinic today with a grand opening from 1 to 3 p.m. at 308–771 Vernon Ave. ... Michael Cummings has joined the Murray Chiropractic Group in Royal Oak. Cummings relocated his practice from the West Shore and brings a range of current treatment techniques to the Murray Group, which has a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility and is associated with the National Rowing Association.

 

Marketer on a roll

Hot House Marketing has been awarded a Bronze Summit Award for its Digital Annual Report for UWC Pearson College. It’s the third AVA Digital Award this year after winning for work done for Yates Street Taphouse and Canada’s Temperance Foundation. The winning Pearson College project was an interactive report that integrated video clips from students and alumni from around the globe and was created entirely in-house by Hot House.
