The Nova Scotia government is investing $1.2 million to help a rural company set up an artisan distillery. Authentic Seacoast Distilling Company Ltd. will use the money to help pay for a $2.7 million project that is expected to create 35 jobs in the Guysborough area. The Economic Development Department says the investment comprises a $1-million forgivable loan and a capital incentive of $191,000. The company, part of Authentic Seacoast Group, is also planning to start a coffeeroasting business and bakery.
