New owners have taken the reins at Ruffell & Brown Window Covering Centre, a window fashions fixture on Vancouver Island for 35 years. The company has been sold to the owners of Pacific Rollshutters & Awnings.

Peter and Lori Stofko acquired Ruffell & Brown from Debra Ruffell and Nigel Brown, who grew the company into one of the largest independently owned window fashions stores in Canada.

Ruffell & Brown and Pacific Rollshutters & Awnings already share a showroom at 2745 Bridge St. “They complement each other really well,” said Peter Stofko. “One offers interior window fashions and the other offers products for exterior spaces.”

The founders of Ruffell & Brown will stay on throughout the transition to the new owners “to ensure the process is smooth and the company doesn’t skip a beat in terms of providing superior service to its customers,” said Lori Stofko.

Brown will continue his involvement in the business as a consultant and a business development expert. “We couldn’t be happier to have really good new owners take over the brand,” said Brown.

The Stofkos acquired n in 2020. “We took a brand that was well recognized and improved internal processes and technology which allowed us to expand product offerings and improve our customer service,” said Peter Stofko.

The Stofkos have been working alongside Ruffell & Brown. “We are excited to continue the long company legacy of providing one of the largest selections of custom window coverings for residential, commercial and institutional buildings on Vancouver Island,” said Peter Stofko.
