The Hotel Grand Pacific has received a slew of new awards, rankings and recognition from some of the world's most respected authorities on food, wine and travel. Over the past few months, two U.S.based magazines, Travel +

Leisure and Wine Spectator, along with the American Automobile Association, have given their stamp of approval to the 304-room Inner Harbour hotel and its restaurants.

The Hotel Grand Pacific was ranked Victoria's top hotel and fifth overall in Canada in the Travel + Leisure 2012 World's Best Awards. The Mark Restaurant was awarded a Four-Diamond rating from AAA. In perspective, of the 28,000 restaurants throughout North America that AAA reviews, just 2.8 per cent are awarded a Four-Diamond rating. The Mark also received the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for the seventh year in a row for its outstanding wine list. The Pacific Restaurant also received the Silver Glass Award at the Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival. "We're so honoured to receive recognition from such respected sources," said Reid James, hotel general manager.
