The Township of Esquimalt is seeking applications for its Business Façade Improvement Program, which will provide money and design help for business owners wanting to improve the character and physical appearance of their buildings.

The program, announced in December, will offer grants to help cover labour and material costs to make significant improvements to the appearance of storefronts and other buildings in Esquimalt.

Eligible improvements must be worth at least $2,000 and include permanent features such as signs, awnings, lighting, windows and exterior surfaces.

Applications will be accepted until March 15 and will be evaluated by the Esquimalt Chamber of Commerce, which will administer the program.
