Greater Victoria's top chefs are ready to dish out dinner for the winner of a draw to support local food sustainability. Cook Culture, at 1317 Blanshard St., is raising money and awareness between Nov.

10 and Dec. 24 for the Island Chefs' Collaborative program providing microloans to help local farmers grow more food and connect with local merchants. The collaborative provides a pool of funds to help growers, harvesters and processors spend money on equipment and materials, said Jed Grieve, Cook Culture owner. At the same time, Cook Culture is marking its second anniversary in the Atrium building downtown. It sells cooking merchandise and runs a cooking school. The draw for the at-home dinner for up to eight, valued at $2,500, takes place on Nov. 27. Six other grand prizes are also to be won. Tickets will be sold starting today at Cook Culture. They are $5 each or three for $12.
