Mary-Ellen Echle, former general manager of business banking for Island Savings, is joining BMO Bank of Montreal in Victoria. Shelly Jensen, vicepresident of Vancouver Island operations for BMO, said Echle has been appointed to "Greater Victoria's leadership team," but was not specific on what role she would play.
The posting starts Monday. Echle has more than eight years of senior management experience in the local finance sector. She also has been involved in community initiatives such as the Canadian Association of Family Enterprise and Victoria Executive Management Club. She is also a guest lecturer at Royal Roads University and Camosun College.
