The Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency and the Tourism Industry Association of New Brunswick are using Vancouver Island for the second time as the training ground for their Adventure Tourism Best Practices Mission.

The Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency and the Tourism Industry Association of New Brunswick are using Vancouver Island for the second time as the training ground for their Adventure Tourism Best Practices Mission.

Nancy Arsenault, managing partner with the Tourism Café, will lead the group through a five-day itinerary beginning Monday through Nanaimo, Parksville, Tofino, Port Alberni and Victoria. Among the businesses sharing their knowledge with the delegation are WildPlay Element Parks, Horne Lake Caves, Ocean Outfitters, Batstar Adventures, the Fairmont Empress, Tigh-Na-Mara Resort, Wickaninnish Inn, Painted Turtle Guesthouse, RedCan Gourmet, Parfait Gourmet, Chemainus Tours and Tourism Vancouver Island. The participants are mid-level to senior management tourism operators interested in improving or expanding current services.
