We would like to extend a warm invitation to you and your family to join us for the upcoming Spirit of Dr. Mary-Wynne Ashford Day, dedicated to celebrating Mary-Wynne’s legacy. We’re delighted to announce that this special event will also launch the Dr. Mary-Wynne Ashford Peace through Education Fund. Come enjoy the cherry blossoms and a day filled with inspiration, community, and a shared commitment to making a difference in the world.

To all those who knew and loved her as well as the many others whose lives she touched, Mary-Wynne was a remarkable individual who dedicated her life to advocating for peace, health, and global unity. Her tireless efforts as a teacher, doctor, artist, musician, leader, and advocate for peace through education have left an indelible mark on our world. Now, it is our turn to honour her legacy and continue her important work.

The Dr. Mary-Wynne Ashford Peace through Education Fund will provide support through grants for projects promoting peace education and community involvement, with particular emphasis on young individuals. Ticket proceeds go towards the Fund and all additional donations will be doubled by the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War Canada (IPPNWC), up to $25,000.

Speakers and performers will be joining us on May 5th to share their insights and talents. It promises to be a day of reflection, celebration, and empowerment as we come together to honour Mary-Wynne and her extraordinary contributions to our community and the world.

If you’d like to donate now or are unable to attend, please go to our Canada Helps donation page: Donations to MWA Fund for Peace Through Education. As with donations made May 5, you’ll receive a tax receipt and each donation will be matched by IPPNWC up to $25,000.

Together, we can continue to create a more peaceful, unified and compassionate world for future generations.
