Tentative dates have been reserved for the new trial of a Victoria woman who successfully appealed her conviction for the first-degree murder of her 18-month-old daughter in September 2015.
Kaele Janine Mehl’s four-week trial is expected to start June 27 before judge and jury in B.C. Supreme Court.
Mehl was convicted by a jury in October 2017 and sentenced to life in prison with no possibility of parole for 25 years.
Last year, the B.C. Court of Appeal overturned her conviction. — Times Colonist
