A series of free online events by the Belfry Theatre will include everything from play readings to storytelling through Dec. 9.

The first of four play readings — Mansel Robinson’s Two Rooms, starring Sarah Afful (Smallville) and Brian Markinson (Mad Men) — is set for Oct. 7. The fall program also includes Hannah Moscovitch’s East of Berlin (Nov. 4), performed by Aidan Guerreiro, Esmé Laidlaw and Dawson Rutledge; Vern Thiessen’s Bluebirds (Nov. 4), performed by Kirsten Alter, Sharisse LeBrun and Abby Paige; and A Christmas Carol (Dec. 23), with a full cast.

A storytelling workshop by Deborah Williams for the Indigenous, Black and People of Colour (IBPoC) community is set for Oct. 17-18. The popular event is already close to full, according to organizers. Five of the IBPoC participants from the workshop will tell their true stories during The Flame event on Oct. 21. A second installment of The Flame, with first-person stories from theatre designers, will be staged Nov. 25.

The company’s fall season will close Dec. 9 with an in-depth conversation between artistic director Michael Shamata and actor-playwright Marcia Johnson (Serving Elizabeth, Courting Joanna).
