VANCOUVER — If you’re planning to camp in a provincial park this summer, take note: Camping reservations open this month.

Starting at 7 a.m. on March 15, Discover Camping will begin accepting reservations for most campgrounds. The Environment Ministry says campsites in many provincial parks can be booked up to three months in advance through the Discover Camping website or via the call centre.

New for 2016, the ministry says families can reserve campsites in Dry Gulch, Inland Lake and Okanagan Falls provincial parks. There are also campsites at Ruckle Provincial Park on Salt Spring Island, and two new group camping sites at Syringa and Kootenay Lake parks. Also open to reservations this year are two small trapper’s cabins in Wells Gray Provincial Park.
