A Richmond cyclist died after being struck in the early morning hours Monday.
The man was reported to be hit at 3:25 a.m. in 4400 block of No. 5 Road and was found on the sidewalk by residents.
Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.
But a licence plate was found at the scene and Richmond RCMP were able to locate the driver and vehicle they believe were involved in the accident.
A 26-year-old Richmond man was taken into custody near his residence and his vehicle was seized for investigation, although no charges have been laid.
