In Oak Bay, incumbent mayor Kevin Murdoch was acclaimed.
Hazel Braithwaite, who has been on council for 14 years, topped the polls with 2,966 votes. Incumbent councillors Cairine Green, Andrew Appleton and Esther Paterson were also elected.
Two newcomers, architect Carrie Smart and city planner Lesley Watson, will join the veterans at the council table. They are pushing for housing options to help seniors age in place and climate action.
This new council will be responsible for negotiating a long-term plan for Turkey Head, the Beach Drive property operated by the Oak Bay Marine Group.
