Past President of the United Way Central and Northern Vancouver Island
Past President of the Rotary club of Nanaimo Daybreak
Elected councillor City of Nanaimo for 4 years.
Why are you running? What’s your motivation?
To continue with the work that we started for the last 4 years. It was a time of rebuilding from the problems with the last council. We now have a new City Plan (Official Community Plan) and the next 4 years will be to action that plan. I feel that I’m qualified to do that work.

Affordable Housing
Public Safety and Crime
Homelessness issues
What’s your vision for your community in 25 years?
My vision is capsulated in the City Plan that was passed in July 2022. I see a city where people can walk to their jobs and or for the amenities that they need. A city where each citizen has the services they need to thrive and a city where people move here to raise their families.
What’s one “big idea” you have for your community?
A connect city where each person can freely move about safely using whatever transportation mode they choose.
