Do you know what your local home learners have been up to?

Many are busy making handmade products, while learning valuable business skills, for the upcoming South Delta Home Learners Craft Fair.

To prepare for this annual event, which will be held next Saturday, May 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ladner Baptist Church (5624 Ladner Trunk Road) home learning students work with their families to create, price and market their products.

Some families work as far as six months in advance to prepare for this popular event.

It is truly an exceptional hands-on opportunity for students to gain experience learning about product development.

The group is hoping the community will come out to support these students and give them more customers to practice their selling skills with.

The South Delta Home Learners Craft Fair is always a free, fun family event and the perfect place to find unique, one-of-a kind gifts.

It is usually scheduled just before Mother’s Day so come by and get Mom something special.

Previous years have seen students create beaded jewelry, hand-painted clothing, baked goods, acrylic paintings and more! Each year the products are so different which makes the event a must every year.
