Aganetha Dyck’s The Angry Red Dress (circa 1976 to ‘81, wool) is part of the new group exhibit at Coquitlam’s Art Gallery at Evergreen (AGE), focusing on invisible or hidden labour.
Something More Than Nothing is the name of the show that opens Saturday and includes pieces by Dyck, Colleen Heslin, Karin Jones, Michael Mandiberg, Kelly Mark and Andrew Norman Wilson.
Its opening reception is Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. and starts with a tour by curator Adrienne Fast of The Reach Gallery Museum in Abbotsford.
The display at AGE (1205 Pinetree Way) runs until Jan. 12.
The gallery is open Wednesdays, noon to 8 p.m.; Thursdays to Saturdays, noon to 5 p.m.; and Sundays, noon to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
