Some of the work in last year's Anonymous Art Show at 100 Braid Street Studios. The annual show returns Oct. 25 to 27.

Here’s one for the art lovers.

Don’t forget to save the weekend of Oct. 25 to 27 for the annual Anonymous Art Show, part of International Artist Day celebrations at 100 Braid Street Studios.

The gala opening on Friday, Oct. 25 from 7 to 10 p.m. is a fundraiser for the Arts Council of New Westminster. You can drop in and check out the annual show – which keeps the identities of the artists hidden and allows visitors to buy whatever art they like and take it home that night. All the art is unframed, 12x12, and each piece is priced at $150. Of that, $100 goes to the artist and the remainder is split between the arts council and the costs of the show.

Art will be of a variety of mediums – oil and acrylic paintings, textile art, photography and mixed media – and participating artists may have anywhere from one to three pieces in the show.

You can buy your ticket for the gala opening through www.eventbrite.ca (or use a direct link at www.tinyurl.com/AnonymousArtGala2019).

The art will also be available for public viewing (and buying) on Saturday, Oct. 26 and Sunday, Oct. 27 from noon to 5 p.m. each day. Check out www.100braidststudios.com for all the details.
