Local eateries are taking part in Canada’s largest restaurant festival.
Four New Westminster restaurants are part of this year’s Dine Out Vancouver, which features hundreds of restaurants putting on special three-course menus at great prices. Dine Out Vancouver runs from Jan. 17 to Feb. 2.
Amaranthus, a plant-based restaurant located in River Market, is offering a lunch and dinner menu for $25. Diners have a choice of a meal that includes an appetizer (fried brussels sprouts, vegan arugula salad or roasted red pepper tomato soup), an entrée (beet risotto, cauliflower steak, quinoa roasted vegetables) and a dessert (vegan chocolate pie, fig cheesecake or rosemary salt churros.) River Market is at 810 Quayside Dr.
The Boathouse New Westminster is serving up a dinner menu for $35. The Dine Out menu includes an appetizer (Caesar salad or wild greens salad), an entrée (7 ounce sirloin, coconut pacific cod, madras curry bowl or a poke bowl) and dessert (mocha ice cream pie or crème brulee.) A $45 menu includes an appetizer, an entrée (7 ounce sirloin and grilled prawns, Dungeness crab ravioli, lamb shank or grilled sablefish) and dessert. The Boathouse is at 900 Quayside Dr.
El Santo is offering a $35 lunch and dinner menu that includes an appetizer (sopa Azteca, Tijuana Salad or poached beef tongue), an entrée (salmon with mole, duck and beets or chile relleno) and dessert (churros, tres leches cake or house-made gelato.) El Santo is at 680 Columbia St.
Gino’s Restaurant has a $15 lunch and dinner menu that includes an appetizer (soup of the day, Caesar or Greek salad, or hummus or tzatziki with pita bread), entrée (roast lamb or chicken souvlaki, baked lasagne or spaghetti, or a three-topping small pizza), and dessert (homemade yogurt cake). Gino’s is at 431 East Columbia.
