Three people caught carrying a large-screen TV shortly shortly after Prince George RCMP were called to City Furniture early morning Monday have been charged with break and enter.

“Mounties were at the location within three minutes of receiving the dispatch call. This quick action allowed members to catch three people at the corner of Quebec Street and 6th Avenue carrying a 58” Samsung TV, still in its original packaging,” said Cst. Jennifer Cooper.

It was enough for Crown prosecution to up the charge from the lesser count of possessing stolen property alleged offenders are often charged with.

Samantha Nicole Peterson, 30, Robin Colin Fleury, 49, and Bruce Cassidy Nelson, 27, have all be charged with the count. They have since been released from custody with dates to appear in court on February 3 in the case of Nelson and Peterson and March 16 in the case of Fleury.

Fleury and Nelson have convictions for previous offences.
