Face masks can help

Letters

Editor:

People tend to think that a face mask does not protect you from the coronavirus and some even discourage others from wearing one. However, a face mask can be useful to not give the virus to others if you unknowingly have the virus. It does not work perfectly, but a face mask diminishes your saliva droplets spreading around significantly when you talk to others, so that it can be good to use for grocery shopping. Moreover, it discourages you from touching your face unconsciously. It can result in making the atmosphere feel a little safer if everybody wears one.

If I had a grocery store, I would require people who enter to wear a face mask and would stand at the entrance to provide antiseptic gel for each person’s hands.

Thanks to all of you who are making hand-crafted face masks. I would like people to consider it.
