The group known as The Landing Artists usually holds a spring exhibition and sale in May at Gibsons Public Market. The pandemic postponed that until now, and six local artists from the group hung the show this week. Dozens of their works are on display at the Market, both in the main atrium and upstairs in the Coast Room, until mid-August.

Arts Centre exhibitions

The Doris Crowston Gallery at the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre in Sechelt has new exhibitions by two artists, Lucas Kratochwil, of Roberts Creek, and Squamish’s Veronica Trujillo. Each of these highly skilled painters deals uniquely with the subject of our natural environment. The shows run from Friday, July 17 to Aug. 16. The artists also are taking part in a Zoom talk on Sunday, July 19 (free tickets at eventbrite.ca), and each is holding a workshop in early August.
