On Saturday, Jan. 25, a group of Roberts Creek kids held a bake sale that raised over $250 for wildlife rescue efforts following the Australia bushfire crisis. The kids, ages 5 to 11, heard about the estimated one billion animals killed in the devastating wildfires that have ravaged Australia in recent weeks and wanted to help. Big thanks to everyone who supported their efforts with a donation, and to Sunnycrest Mall for allowing the kids to hold their sale at the mall. If you’d like to help too, you can make a donation online to WIRES, a wildlife rescue organization based in one of Australia’s hardest hit regions (www.wires.org.au).
