Pfoh traded to Powell River

Once a King, always a King.
Forward Brett Pfoh is hoping that will be the case for the rest of his hockey career in the B.C. Hockey League now that he's been traded from the Prince George Spruce Kings  to the Powell River Kings for future considerations.
“Brett is a good young player, but things just were not working out for him here” says GM Mike Hawes. “Those things happen at times. I think a fresh start for him in Powell River is what is needed and I wish him luck here.”
The 17-year-old from Port Moody, in his first full season with the defending BCHL champions, was disgruntled with the amount of ice time he was getting as a fourth-line left winger and left the Spruce Kings earlier this week. In 14 games he had two goals and an assist, with eight penalty minutes.
Pfoh will get a chance to prove himself tonight in Powell River, where the Kings will host the Spruce Kings. It's the first of a three-game-four-day roadtrip for Prince George which also stops in Victoria Saturday night and Cowichan Valley Sunday afternoon.
The Kings earlier announced forward John Herrington has signed a letter of commitment for the 2020-21 season. Herrington, 17, has three goals and five assists in eight games this season as the captain of the Cariboo Cougars major midget team. The native of Hudson's Hope played two games  this season with the Spruce Kings as an affiliated player.
"We are thrilled to add John to our program. He is a very hard working skilled player who plays the game the right way,” said Hawes. “He is a great young man who is focused on playing for the Spruce Kings and working towards attaining an NCAA scholarship. We look forward to helping John attain his goals."
