Letter: Powell River is known for good people

Powell River letter

I couldn’t let these items pass when I read that Keith Anderson was retiring [“Powell River clothing store to close later this month,” December 13].

His dad owned the [Anderson’s Men’s Wear] store first. We had three generations of men receive their special care.

They knew their customers’ sizes and what they would like; no fuss, no bother in a pleasant, quiet atmosphere of friendship.

We were so fortunate to have this store. You will be missed but go and enjoy a well-deserved retirement.

It was with sadness for his family I felt when I read Dr. C. Hobson had passed away. He was everything a patient could ask for: quiet, gentle, compassionate, caring and, of course, knowledgeable.

Powell River is known for its good people, and there are a lot of them.
