Vancouver Islanders who like their thrills delivered at high octane will not want to miss Travis Pastrana’s Nitro Circus Live next year.
The show features 30 of the best extreme-sport athletes in freestyle motocross, BMX and all sorts of other wild and whacky wheeled vehicles.
Nitro Circus traces its beginning back to 2003, when Pastrana, a motorsport racer in everything from motocross to NASCAR, and his friends made DVDs in his Utah garage.
In 2009, they partnered with MTV to create a TV show. They’re now taking their act on the road.
Motorcyclists and others fly off jumps, dangle from their handlebars, flip, spin and do all manner of death-defying stunts in wild, choreographed displays.
The show is scheduled for Sept. 24, 2016, at Royal Athletic Park and costs $99 for a deluxe pass.
The deluxe pass entitles the bearer to the best seats, the chance to watch the final 20 minutes of rehearsal and admission to a question-and-answer session with the stars.
Nitro club regular pass holders will take home a souvenir lanyard, an electronically signed poster and a chance to win Nitro swag.
