Two comics with intimate knowledge of the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre will return to the Blanshard Street arena for a co-headlining performance this year.
Jim Jefferies and Jimmy Carr will bring The Charm Offensive Tour to Victoria on Oct. 26, the first run of dates to feature their combined talents. Carr, who is British, performed at the arena in 2023, while Jefferies, who is Australian, appeared there in 2022.
The union is a study in contrasts: Carr is the wittier of the two, while Jefferies is much more profane. Both have ascended to arena status for good reason, however, and remain consistently popular. The anticipated tour — which is expected to sell out instantly — stops at eight Canadian venues, beginning with Halifax on Sept. 5, before wrapping in Victoria shortly before Halloween.
