Women’s Vikes soccer Alberta bound

The University of Victoria Vikes women’s soccer team, ranked No. 8 in Canada, is taking its act across the Rockies. The Vikes (6-2-2) play the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns (2-5-3 ) on Saturday and the University of Calgary Dinos (7-2-1) on Sunday in Canada West Conference games. UVic concludes the regular season next weekend at home against Trinity Western and Fraser Valley.

Meanwhile, the UVic Vikes men’s soccer team (4-2-2) is also on the road and will play UBC-Okanagan (3-4-3) in Kelowna on Saturday and the Thompson Rivers WolfPack (1-5-2) in Kamloops on Sunday. The Vikes want to rebound from a 3-0 loss last weekend to the UBC Thunderbirds in Vancouver that saw UVic tumble from the national top 10.
