Westshore Rebels eclipse Okanagan Sun to move to 3-0 in B.C. Football Conference

The undefeated Westshore Rebels moved to 3-0 in the B.C. Football Conference with a 16-13 victory over the Okanagan Sun (2-1) over the weekend at the Apple Bowl in Kelowna.

The Westshore offence was led by back Zach Lubin, who ran for 124 yards on 24 carries against the Okanagan Sun.

The undefeated Westshore Rebels moved to 3-0 in the B.C. Football Conference with a 16-13 victory over the Okanagan Sun (2-1) over the weekend at the Apple Bowl in Kelowna.

The Rebels were led by their swarming defence, which caused four turnovers, including the lone Westshore touchdown when defensive back Kieran Benedito de Barros jumped on a fumble in the Sun end zone.

The Westshore offence was led by back Zach Lubin, who ran for 124 yards on 24 carries.

Meanwhile, the Vancouver Island Raiders (1-2) defeated the Kamloops Broncos (0-3) by a 47-17 count in the Harbour City.

The Rebels are away to the defending champion Rams (2-0) in Langley on Saturday while the Raiders host the Sun at Caledonia Park.
