Vancouver Giants bring end to Victoria Royals’ win streak

The Vancouver Giants defeated the Victoria Royals 5-2 in WHL action Friday in Langley. Carson Miller gave Victoria the lead in the first period. Vancouver took the lead in the second through Tristen Nielsen and two by Justin Sourdif.

The Vancouver Giants defeated the Victoria Royals 5-2 in WHL action Friday in Langley.

Carson Miller gave Victoria the lead in the first period. Vancouver took the lead in the second through Tristen Nielsen and two by Justin Sourdif. Gary Haden scored for Victoria in the third period.

The Royals (29-19-5) are second in the B.C. Division and Giants (27-20-5) third.

The Royals had a four-game winning streak snapped. The Giants have won seven consecutive. Victoria now heads to Kamloops for games tonight and Monday against the division-leading leading Blazers.
