The dates for the 2019 Western Lacrosse Association final between the Victoria Shamrocks and Maple Ridge Burrards have been announced.
The best-of-seven series, a rematch of last year’s final won in five games by the Burrards, begins Friday night at The Q Centre in Colwood.
The Shamrocks swept the Island-rival Nanaimo Timbermen 4-0 in the best-of-seven semifinals, while the Burrards beat the New Westminster Salmonbellies 4-2.
The second game of the WLA final will be played Sunday at Cam Neely Arena in Maple Ridge. The third game is next Tuesday at The Q Centre and fourth game Aug. 23 at Cam Neely Arena.
If needed, a fifth game will be played Aug. 25 at The Q Centre, sixth game Aug. 27 at Cam Neely and seventh game Aug. 30 at The Q Centre.
The WLA champion will host the Ontario Major Series champion in the best-of-seven Mann Cup national championship next month.
The Peterborough Lakers and Six Nations Chiefs are set to play in the MSL final.
