As a receiver, the multi-faceted 22-year-old made 51 receptions for 708 yards and four touchdowns in 2015. Had he not had to fill in at quarterback in several outings, due to injuries to Ashton Mackinnon and Talyn Davies, he likely would have reached the 1,000-yard milestone.
The six-foot-two, 230-pound Richmond native capped his career last Saturday by completing 17-of-26 passes for 258 yards and three touchdowns as he replaced Davies late in the second quarter. He also ran nine times for 44 yards and caught two passes for six yards.
“I wouldn't say as much I earned it as the team around me has, but I have to say it’s an honour to be considered in same category as the amazing athletes that have received these awards in the past,” Lake said of being named to the offensive all-star team.
As a quarterback, Lake also ran the ball 27 times for 136 yards for a 5.0-yard average.
The BCFC defensive all-stars were announced on Thursday but no Rebels were selected.
