Minor-league English rugby player banned for 6 months for positive doping test

LONDON - The English Rugby Football Union has banned a lower-league player for six months for a positive doping test.

James Comben of Henley RFC, tested positive for the prohibited stimulant methylhexanamine last November after appearing for Wasps A in an Aviva A-League match. He is banned to June 20.

Comben was Henley's young player of the year in 2011.
