You can apply all sorts objective (benchmark processor speeds) or subjective ("it just feels better") arguments to the great smartphone debate.

British Columbians should give Tuesday’s provincial budget a quick once over, and then give themselves a quiet pat on the back. There are still holes in the government’s vision of how this corner of the world works, undeniably.

So this is how it works. A distinguished former general from a prominent military family, having retired after a career in war and peace, wants to continue to serve his country. For his sins, he decides to enter politics.

Having read the articles on parking for the downtown (“Parking plan ‘hijacked’ by cash claims,” Feb. 14.), I consider the recommendations by parking staff a bad idea, and even more so since reading some of the councillors’ comments.

The old tube TV was mostly still OK, but its picture was getting fuzzy. And we had bought an HD cable TV box with recording capability, so we could see the high definition channels, the ones with the wider picture.

Children are amazing! It’s easy to see them expressing imagination, curiosity, innocence, spontaneity, thoughtfulness, honesty, and unconditional love.
