Much to celebrate as B.C. schools open

With schools opening across B.C. this week, there is much to celebrate and much to keep in perspective.

Neglect of famed trail an embarrassment

Re: "West Coast Trail boardwalks neglected," Aug. 30. My husband and I and four friends hiked the West Coast Trail a few weeks ago and can also attest to the appalling condition of the boardwalks on the trail.

Lack of hand-washing, flu shots raises concern

Perks betray public's trust

British Columbia's MLAs are in the club. Retired legislature clerk George MacMinn is in the club, too. So, arguably, is the current clerk, Craig James.
