Are you kidding me? B.C. allows the largest increase to rent in years, and more people are on the street every day.
I am a senior who thankfully lives in geared-to-income housing. Don’t think it’s any different for me. I got a $9 increase this year and my rent went up $9 as of December. Groceries go up non-stop, and the cost of other things as well.
We are all in the same boat and it’s sinking. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. “Greed is good” is not just a line in a movie, but our reality. All I can hope is the people who are increasing the price of everything are enjoying their lifestyle.
More of us every day go to food banks. Thanks for the donations. We love peanut butter and tuna. Hope you enjoy your prime rib.
