Voting commentary not helpful analysis

At a time when we could use some thoughtful discussion regarding the pros and cons of proportional representation, Bruce Strachan seems to have completely missed the boat.

In his rambling and mostly incoherent stream of consciousness, he appears to be predicting the following outcomes if we switch to PR:

A far-right anti-immigration party will hold the balance of power in the B.C. legislature. Abortion will again become illegal, or maybe he was saying hospital boards will again be elected and stacked in favour of abortion rights — I’m not sure. And the Social Credit Party will re-emerge as some sort of right-wing, single-issue rump party. Of the three outcomes, this is probably the least painful.

Please. I would like to be better informed about this important issue, but this was not helpful analysis.
