‘Straight pride’ means straight privilege

The town of Chipman, N.B., removed the straight pride flag from its pole due to criticism from the LGBTQ2+ community.

Meanwhile, the flag’s creator and his support network claim discrimination because they are proud to be straight.

No matter which way you look at it, pride in one’s being is a sin.

As for straight pride, I would rather refer to it as straight privilege. It’s the privilege of being free from a history of shame over one’s being. Universal support for your straight status of breeding and producing children.

Straight privilege has brought us sex abuse, suffering, overpopulation of planet Earth to extreme levels of poverty and overall environmental degradation.

If this history makes straight people proud, then by all means fly your flag, protest what you will. When the end comes, it comes for all, including your children’s children.
