It’s a dark day for North American men’s hockey. Let’s hope the Canadian and American millionaire/billionaire NHL owners are feeling a sense of guilt as they watch our makeshift Olympic teams being humiliated in Pyeongchang.
These second-string teams are giving their best effort, but everyone knows that Canada and the U.S. did not put their best players on the ice. Yes, NHL hockey is a business and there is nothing forcing the NHL to participate in Olympic hockey, nothing but national pride, and you can’t put a price on that.
Shame on the NHL.
