Project being built on city land

The biggest item not noted in the article is that much of the land required for this project is owned by citizens of Victoria, not the developer.

As noted, parkland is scarce, and once it is gone, it does not come back. The vistas of our harbour and the new bridge will be lost forever. We already have a prime example of this at the Regent Hotel.

With other plans to develop the Wharf Street parking lots, this is a good time to say no to this project and show the citizens that council is ready to preserve the views of our great harbour.
