Re: “Pickup rolls over on Malahat, triggering delays,” Sept. 13.
Another incident on the Malahat last week in which a pickup truck rolled. The Malahat is truly a beautiful and safe, yes a safe, road.
The road is smooth and the curves are hardly hairpin, yet a vehicle rolled. Why would a truck roll over on such a road — how about speed?
The question again is: Where are the police? All the money being spent on safety upgrades would be better spent on a dedicated police force.
I can count on one hand how many police cars I have seen on that road over the various times I have travelled it.
