June 11: Questioning views of Ben Isitt

Why is it always Victoria Coun. Ben Isitt? Memorable events he was involved in were his objections to festive decorations such as Christmas trees or poinsettias on desks.

Then he went after iconic horse- drawn carriages.

Now there is the idea to explore the possibility of the Canadian military paying for the policing of military-related events such as Remembrance Day ceremonies.

Is it appropriate that, because Isitt does not celebrate a particular holiday or relish a carriage ride through the city, that others shouldn’t experience those joys?

Is it conscionable that Isitt fails to appreciate the role the Canadian military has played .
