Development information incorrect

Re: “Church scales back housing project in Oak Bay,” April 29.

Perhaps the Oak Bay United Church supplied the information on the massive development. Wherever the information came from, it was far from correct.

The church is not proposing a three-storey apartment building and four 31Ú2-storey townhomes. The church is proposing a four-storey, 51-foot tall block of a building and a three-storey building for a total of 98 units, along with 113 underground parking spots for a congregation that is quoted at 250 and for however many car-owning residents and their guests can cram into those inadequate spaces.

In the single-family-zoned block in which the church sits, traffic and parking are already at a critical level. God help the neighbours, the developers must be hoping.
