Cyclists, let others know when passing

In the name of courtesy and safety, a cyclist should inform a pedestrian, another cyclist or a horse rider of their presence and intention to pass.

In the name of courtesy and safety, a cyclist should inform a pedestrian, another cyclist or a horse rider of their presence and intention to pass. There are many legitimate reasons why the individual being passed might be shocked (or a horse startled) and veer one way or another, all of which result in discomfort or serious injury. Everyone benefits from simple courtesy.
