Council must restore public dialogue

Re: “Core-area mayors focus on housing, diversity in inaugural addresses,” Nov. 6. According to the article, Victoria Mayor Lisa Helps said: “We really need to restore civility and decorum to public dialogue.” In my opinion, she misses the point.

According to the article, Victoria Mayor Lisa Helps said: “We really need to restore civility and decorum to public dialogue.”

In my opinion, she misses the point. Once the mayor and council restore the essence of public dialogue, then civility and decorum will follow by themselves.
