Cordova Bay traffic is already congested

Some of my Cordova Ridge neighbours have expressed concerns about the increased vehicle traffic that will result if this five-unit development goes ahead.

I’d say that if traffic congestion in Cordova Bay is a concern, the cow has already left the barn, with multi-storey housing units going in at Sayward Hill (a two-minute walk from Beespot), Trio and the Haro. Imagine the tie-ups that will result at the Sayward/Pat Bay Highway intersection when they are all occupied.

Further, a previous letter-writer stated that he supports this type of passive home development, but just not in this area. To that I would say that if passive homes are the way of the future (and we want their construction costs to come down), they need to be included in every municipality’s development plan. The NIMBY response doesn’t allow for that.
