City leaders’ ‘vision’ is questionable

Perhaps the writer, who says “Those leaders had real vision,” forgets the vision of Victoria Mayor Lisa Helps and Coun. Ben Isitt of creating a “tent city” at Topaz Park, right in the middle of a very active residential area.

Perhaps the writer forgets the vision of Helps in suggesting people of all ages could possibly open that extra room in their homes to the homeless.

Perhaps the writer forgets the vision of the council in proceeding with bike lanes on Pandora Avenue without, at the very least, verifying necessary lane widths for buses and trucks.

Perhaps the writer forgets council ramming through bike lanes on Fort Street without waiting for documented results from the Pandora installation that might suggest improvements.

Perhaps the writer … do I really need to say more?
