In 2012, my husband and I needed another piece of luggage. We saw a sale flyer from Sears that had luggage for 50 per cent off. We went to Sears and looked through the luggage. My husband found a Tommy Hilfiger bag marked down from $279.99 to $79.99.

I asked the clerk why it was so cheap and she replied it was last year’s stock.

We went to the cash register, and the price with the 50 per cent off was $39.99. I asked the clerk if I had any club points and she said I had $40. After deducting the $40 and adding the tax, the final price was $4.79.

Maybe my husband and I should be doing the shopping for the legislature. We would do a much better job and save the taxpayers a lot of money.
