Baseball fans not happy with coverage

I am very disappointed in the Times Colonist’s coverage of Major League Baseball. It was the last day of the season and, as usual, the paper gave us a gripping story about the Toronto Blue Jays, who are 34 games out of first.

Really? In the senior circuit known as the National League, there were two pennant races that were tied going into Sunday. No coverage ever. The Chicago Cubs were tied with the Milwaukee Brewers and the Los Angeles Dodgers were tied with the Colorado Rockies.

If the newspaper thinks anyone who follows baseball enjoys this performance, it is sadly mistaken. There are hundreds of Dodgers and Cubbies fans on Vancouver Island. If the paper wants to please baseball fans, I hope its coverage improves really soon.
